This morning we woke up to a "snow day".....work and school were canceled for all of us! As I looked out the window at the foot of snow that buried my wrought-iron furniture, fountain and vines, I found myself daydreaming about what my garden/deck looked like last summer.
Knowing at my age you shouldn't wish your life away, I decided to appreciate being inside my warm and cozy home with my family. It didn't stop my daydreaming though about the many ways we can dine alfresco when it is warm....
I do hope you see my comment here; I see your date for this post is February. THANK YOU FOR VISITING and do you know that I NEVER KNEW that chicks were dyed and given as Easter gifts? Maybe living in the city as a child really kept me from so many things!!!! That is a sweet story about you and your siblings and their chicks...poor little chick with the broken leg, but ooooh, he got a little splint!!!!
I HOPE YOU ARE WELL! THANK YOU FOR VISITING ME and I think of you constantly when I go into my living room...there sits that magnificent vintage French dictionary!!!
I have been lucky in love for 20 years and am the mother of two beautiful daughters....who could ask for more?
My passion is creating beautiful things from vintage treasures. I love anything having to do with classic fashion and adore all things vintage. I usually try to incorporate a vintage piece in what I wear every day...sometimes it's the dress or top....but most of the times, it's an accessory. There is something magical in vintage items that inspires me and takes me back to a time when beautiful accessories/clothes were made by hand with lots of thought and love....not kicked out by the thousands in an assembly line for the masses. My appreciation for vintage has been the motivation for Sue Jack Designs, my cottage business on Etsy, where I sell evening bags, statement necklaces, and bracelets, which are created mostly from vintage pieces that I've found at estate sales and garage sales.
Most of all, I try to remember to appreciate every day that God gives me on this earth....to enjoy my family and faith, to live every day to its fullest, because I exchanged a day of my life for it.
